ABA Therapy In St. Louis, MO
“The earlier intervention can begin, the better for long-term outcomes.” – Center For Disease Control
ABA therapy helps individuals learn new skills, change behaviors and improve their quality of life. In addition, ABA therapy can help with various disabilities, including autism spectrum disorder (ASD), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and developmental disorders such as Down syndrome.
Through positive reinforcement, kids are taught what a parent expects in certain situations and are rewarded when they follow those expectations. This helps them understand social rules and boundaries while giving them tools for future success. When implemented at an individualized level, ABA Therapy can decrease challenging behaviors while increasing appropriate and wanted behaviors, such as communication and daily living skills.
In-Home Services
Our behavioral team will come to your home to implement a tailored program specifically targeting your child’s needs. A behavioral therapist will work one-on-one with your child for a prescribed number of hours per week to ensure that they can exhibit the skills needed in the environment most natural to them.
Our ABA home therapy services in St. Louis also place emphasis on daily and family routines to help ensure skills are functional. Autism Learning Collaborative also understands the importance of inclusion in the community. Goals can also be targeted in the community setting (e.g. dining in restaurants, navigating trips to the grocery store, etc).
